Supported living
There are teams in both Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust and Social Services providing care and support to help you live in your own home. Working in partnership with housing associations across all parts of the city, you can be supported with your own package of care and support. The support can be for a few hours a week or up to 24 hours a day depending on your support needs. At present this includes 90 people in social services hostels. We are currently looking at how to change this service so people with a learning disability can have a supported living arrangement rather than staying in a hostel.
