This section contains useful information for users of Sheffield Health and Social Care Foundation Trust (SHSC) services. It has information about mental health problems, treatments and other sources of information. Some of the material has been created by SHSC staff and some of it is from other trusted sources like the National Library for Health, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). Advice from other organisations like MIND and RETHINK is also included here.
Remember, there is a lot of information about mental health, learning disabilities and advice for older people on the internet, but not all of it is reliable. We strongly recommend that you use information from trusted sites like those mentioned above. Information on these sites is put together by professionals, often with the help of service users and carers, and is based on good evidence. Always check with your care provider before acting on advice you see.
