About Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy

The CBT team is a multi-disciplinary psychotherapy service. The team is managed within the Acute, Community and Primary Care Directorate of Sheffield Health & Social Care Trust. The strategic and operational management of the department is led by the Clinical Lead, John Davies supported by senior clinicians from within the team.

The purpose of the CBT team is to enhance the health of the people of Sheffield and the wider community we serve within the NHS. This is achieved by being at the forefront of development and innovation specifically in four areas:

  • The provision of a specialist clinical service
  • The development and delivery of education, training and supervision to other health professionals
  • Research, audit and service evaluation
  • Organisational development
